The promotion of student health insurance is a service provided by the Associated Students, CSUF, Inc. Health insurance is important because the costs of medical care can be very high. For this reason, ASI promotes a student health care plan eligible to all registered undergraduate students taking 6 or more credit hours and registered graduate students taking any credit hours at Cal State Fullerton. Students must actively attend classes for 45 days after coverage is purchased.

The student health insurance is a supplemental plan in addition to the Student Health Services on campus. Students must first be treated through the Student Health Services and receive a referral. Treatment rendered outside of Student Health Services for which no prior approval or referral is obtained may be excluded from coverage.
