2008-2009 IRA Budget Requests - Continuing Programs
Instructions for the Preparation of IRA Funding Application Form
Please read all instructions and complete the forms listed at the bottom of the page.
- Read the IRA Criteria before preparing your 2008-09 IRA funding request in order to avoid any misunderstanding regarding eligibility.
- Only line items listed in the Definition of Line Item Expenses may be used. "Line Item" refers to the type of expense.
- Please provide on additional sheets, a detailed description of each line item submitted. Use the same format as the sample expense detail provided. You will need to create this form based on your specific budget request and submit it as part of your budget package. Important: When preparing your expense detail, use only those line items that apply to your program. The Sample Expense Detail is simply a model for you to follow.
- Complete the 2008-09 Requested Budget Column of the Application Form. Round numbers to the nearest dollar. If your program is requesting funding for the first time, list the line item name and account number in the Description column (i.e. Supplies - 8050, Printing & Advertising - 8051, etc.).
- If your program is requesting funding for travel (-8077), please include a statement in the travel section of your Expense Detail explaining how much each student will be contributing to his/her travel costs.
Note: At the end of your Expense Detail, please identify any outside sources of funding.
- Please provide the committee with a brief description of your program (Form #3). Please limit this description to one paragraph.
- Those requesting funding will be provided an opportunity to present their proposal to the committee during the months of March and April.
