The Titan Student Union's Art Acquisition Program was established in 1990 to create a permanent collection of student art work for the enjoyment of building guests. The program is continually expanding as each year the Titan Student Union Governing Board allocates funds for the purchase of several additional pieces. The selection process of the artwork includes an annual student art show, from which the student-led Art Acquisition Committee recommends pieces to purchase.
The mission of the program is to create an environment that stimulates artistic awareness for building guests. The art acquisition program works to promote diversity by purchasing unique and varied pieces that represent the rich culture of Cal State Fullerton's campus community. In addition, this program offers talented students the opportunity to leave a legacy of their work at Cal State Fullerton.
